Who We Are
The Africa Insolvency Law Academy (AILA) is an African insolvency academy headquartered in Kigali, Rwanda, with a mission to strengthen the understanding and practice of insolvency law across Africa. In many African countries, insolvency is still viewed as the end of the road for an institution, a failure, but at AILA, we believe it can also be a new beginning.
Our aim at AILA is to reshape how insolvency is perceived and practiced in Africa by providing legal education, building capacity, conducting practical research, and supporting companies in financial distress.
